The purpose of this project is to widen SR7/US 441 from North of Hallandale Beach to North of Fillmore Street in Broward County.
This project is part of a South Florida strategic master plan for improving SR 7 along a 25.6 mile stretch. This is one segment of the project which will add lanes and reconstruct SR 7 along a 1.883 mile stretch.
The most recent information from the FL DOT is that property acquisition is not scheduled to begin until December 2007 or January 2008, and construction will begin 2012. Property acquisition is budgeted around $21 million.
