Informational Meeting Held On I-94 Interchange Reconstruction Projects In Racine
An informational public meeting regarding the I-94 Interchange Reconstruction Projects was held at 7:00 pm on Monday, July 30, at the YWCA of Racine located at 740 College Ave.
Dan Biersdorf, of eminent domain firm Biersdorf & Associates, spoke about eminent domain from a property owner’s perspective at the meeting, gave an overview of the eminent domain process, and then opened the floor to questions.
Biersdorf has worked on eminent domain and other property valuation litigation cases for over 20 years.
The purpose of this project is to rebuild several interchanges along Interstate 94 in Racine and Kenosha counties, which were originally constructed over 30 years ago. The project requires the Wisconsin Department of Transportation to acquire parcels of private property through eminent domain in order to complete the project.
