At a recent meeting, the Indiana DOT says that it could be until 2017 before the final route for Interstate 69 is decided, which is I-69 Phase 6. There are 14 alternative paths for the project. Originally they were going to build the road along SR 37, but have held a meeting recently to discuss options.
The meeting was the first of two hosted by the Indiana Department Transportation to address possible route changes to the I-69 project. Most of the people from the meeting that spoke, were in favor of keeping the original plan intact.
There is another meeting that will be held on Tuesday night in Martinsville.
We worked with several property owners on the first several phases of the project and it sounds like property owners will be waiting to hear what the final plan will be for the last phase.
