When your property rights are threatened, you need an accomplished advocate to guide you through the eminent domain process. Our lead attorneys draw from over 40 years combined experience representing property owners around the country. Located in Minneapolis, MN, our three principle attorneys combined have licenses in and handle cases in the following states: Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan, Pennsylvania, New York, Florida, Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado and Washington. We also become admitted pro hac vice when the opportunity presents itself. Our ability to handle cases in a broader number of jurisdictions allows us to focus on larger cases with unusual issues that ultimately help redefine the law in favor of property owners. We have clients in, or have handled cases in 17 states around the country ranging from Florida to Alaska. The sheer vastness of our practice and experience speaks for itself, and is a true testament to our success as eminent domain lawyers. We understand that hiring an out of state attorney can be unsettling. In some cases, a property owner might simply want to hire someone local who they know and trust. Because of this, we have enlisted the help of reputable attorneys around the country to work with in an of-counsel capacity. Currently, the attorneys that we work with are either located in or assist with our case-load in the following states: Indiana, Ohio, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Idaho. These lawyers play a vital role in the success of our firm by allowing us to better connect with property owners around the country. Additionally, they have no ties to the government and only represent property owners. All of our eminent domain cases are overseen by Dan Biersdorf who conducts the case analysis and assists with strategy. He also oversees the process of securing the appropriate expert witnesses, such as appraisers and engineers; and he facilitates public meetings or in-person meetings with property owners around the country. To the extent necessary, Dan Biersdorf assists with every case to ensure that our client's property rights are fervently upheld in the court of law. Meet our lawyers and meet our staff!
