Biersdorf & Associates Project # 5153.001

Condemning Authority:  NC Department of Transportation

The Sanford Bypass Project is a large bypass project that’s divided into multiple segments of construction. The middle portion has already been built, and the Nc/DOT is currently in the process of acquiring right of way property for the beginning and last parts of the project.

One portion of the project is a bypass at highway 1/15/301 and SR 1406. This part of the project will create a bypass over the City of Sanford, running alonside Beech Tree Drive.

The other portion consists of a bypass over US 421 where NC 87 intersects, starting where the Seaboard Coast Line Railway crosses US 421 and extending slightly passed Kelly Road.

Construction for the remaining segments are anticipated to begin in 2010.

If you click here, you can view the Highway 1/15/30 at SR 1406 segment, and if you click here you can see US 421 and NC 87 segment.

If you have questions about the project, or you think you may be affected by it, call us toll-free at 866.339.7242 for a free consultation.
