Project Description: The following information was provided by the Indiana Department of Transportation- Kokomo Corridor Project. http://www.in.gov/indot/div/projects/us31/kokomo/project.htm The state of Indiana is planning on implementing improvements to the US-31 corridor in Howard County. The new corridor, also known as, Kokomo Corridor, will go through the city of Kokomo and Center Township along with portions of Clay, Howard, Taylor and Harrison townships. The plan is to upgrade the existing US-31 into an urban freeway along with a series of interchanges at major cross streets within the corridor. Property Acquisition for Phase I, which consist of areas from US-31 from South of Lakeville to US-20, is already taking place.
